The mesh pattern really makes the eyes look unsettlingly empty from a distance, which is exactly the unnerving vibe I wanted for my costume. I was worried about the vision obstruction, but with someone guiding me by the arm it was totally manageable for a night out.

The optical zone mesh is definitely a trade-off—I could barely see straight through them, but for a Halloween costume that’s exactly the creepy effect I wanted. I wore them for about two hours at a party with a friend guiding me, and the prescription held up sharp enough for close-up conversation. J

The mesh pattern gives off a seriously cool, almost hypnotic look that got me tons of compliments at my Halloween party. I did need a friend to guide me around since my vision was pretty blurry, but that was totally worth it for the effect.
