How to Clean and Store Your Coleyes Lens Case Travel Kit

Quick Answer

To keep your Coleyes Lens Case Travel Kit hygienic, clean the case, tweezers, and applicator after each use with fresh contact lens solution and store them dry in a clean pouch.

Step-by-Step Cleaning and Storage Guide

1. Empty and Rinse the Cases: After removing your lenses, pour out the old solution. Rinse each case compartment with fresh contact lens solution—never tap water. Water can introduce microorganisms that cause infections. Always use fresh solution, not water, to rinse.
2. Clean the Tweezer and Applicator: Wipe the tweezer tips and applicator with a lint-free cloth or tissue dampened with contact lens solution. Avoid touching the silicone tip of the applicator with bare fingers to keep it clean. Do not use soap or alcohol on these tools; solution is enough.
3. Air-Dry All Components: Leave the cases, tweezer, and applicator open and uncovered on a clean tissue to air-dry completely. Moisture promotes bacterial growth, so ensure everything is dry before closing the kit. Never seal the kit while components are still damp.
4. Store in a Clean, Dry Place: Once dry, place the components back into the white transparent case. Keep the kit in a cool, dry area away from direct sunlight and humidity. Replace the entire kit every 3 months for best hygiene. Mark a replacement date on your calendar to avoid using an old case.
